     Sir Richard Knightley is the son of Sir Richard Knightley and Elizabeth Purefoy.1 He married Eleanor Throgmorton, daughter of Sir John de Throckmorton and Eleanor de Spineto.1
     He was appointed Knight in 1494.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, three times.1 He also had four daughters.1
