     Herwald Molyneux Sitwell Wake was born on 10 April 1917.1 He was the son of Herwald Wake and Katherine Frances Margaret Hutton.2 He died on 31 December 1942 at age 25 at Egypt, on active service.1
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Signals.1

Lt.-Col. Edward Baldwin Wake1

     Lt.-Col. Edward Baldwin Wake was born on 14 December 1833.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Wake, 10th Bt. and Charlotte Tait.2 He married, firstly, Mary Mangles, daughter of Ross Donnelly Mangles and Harriet Newcome, on 26 January 1861 at Stoke-next-Guildford, Surrey, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Ellen Mary Nethercote, daughter of Henry Osmond Nethercote and Charlotte Frances Allix, on 19 August 1871.1 He died on 7 August 1883 at age 49, from accidentally drinking too much chloroform.1,3
     He gained the rank of Cornet in 1853 in the 3rd European Light Cavalry, Bengal Army.3 He gained the rank of Captain in July 1862 in the 21st Hussars.3 He gained the rank of Brevet-Major in July 1876.3 He gained the rank of Major in December 1877.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in May 1878 in the 21st Hussars.1

     Ross Lewis Mangles, V.C. is the son of Ross Donnelly Mangles and Harriet Newcome.1 He married Henrietta Anne More-Molyneux, daughter of James More-Molyneux and Caroline Isabella Lowndes-Stone-Norton.2

Edward Baldwin Wake, son of Sir Charles Wake, 10th Bt. and Charlotte Tait, on 26 January 1861 at Stoke-next-Guildford, Surrey, England.1,2 She died on 10 December 1868 at age 36, on board H.M.S. Euphrates between Aden and Suez.1,2
     From 26 January 1861, her married name became Wake.

     Gerald Baldwin Wake was born on 29 November 1862.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Baldwin Wake and Mary Mangles.2 He was baptised on 21 December 1862 at India.3 He married Violet Alice Froom, daughter of Henry Froom and Elizabeth Roche, on 17 March 1909.1 He died in 1919.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1
