Sir William Twysden, 1st Bt.1

     Sir William Twysden, 1st Bt. was born circa 1566.2 He was the son of Roger Twysden and Anne Wyatt.2 He married Lady Anne Finch, daughter of Sir Moyle Finch, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Heneage, Countess of Winchilsea.2 He died on 8 January 1627/28.2 His will was proven (by probate) in 1629.2 He was buried at East Peckham, Kent, EnglandG.2
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 28 October 1584.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clitheroe in 1593.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Helston in 1601.2 He was appointed Knight on 11 May 1603 at Charter HouseG.3 He was created 1st Baronet Twysden, of East Peckham, co. Kent [England] on 29 June 1611.2 He collected manuscripts, and was learned in Hebrew and Greek.2

Lady Anne Finch1

     Lady Anne Finch was born circa 1574.2 She was the daughter of Sir Moyle Finch, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Heneage, Countess of Winchilsea.1,2 She married Sir William Twysden, 1st Bt., son of Roger Twysden and Anne Wyatt.2 She died on 14 November 1638.2 She was buried at East Peckham, Kent, EnglandG.2
     Her married name became Twysden.2

     Sir William Cholmley, 2nd Bt. was born in December 1625.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Twysden.1 He was baptised at East Peckham, Kent, EnglandG.1 He married, firstly, Katharine Hotham, daughter of Sir John Hotham, 1st Bt. and Sarah Anlaby, on 17 August 1654.1 He married, secondly, Katharine Savile, daughter of John Savile and Margaret Garraway, in April 1657.2 He died on 11 October 1663 at age 37 at Mitcham, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was buried at East Peckham, Kent, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 13 November 1663.2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cholmley, of Whitby, co. York [E., 1641] on 20 November 1657.1 His last will was dated 11 October 1663.

Katharine Hotham1

     Katharine Hotham was the daughter of Sir John Hotham, 1st Bt. and Sarah Anlaby.1 She married Sir William Cholmley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Twysden, on 17 August 1654.1 She died on 15 June 1655, in childbed, without surviving issue.1 She was buried at Whitby, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
     From 17 August 1654, her married name became Cholmley.1

     Sir John Hotham, 1st Bt. was the son of John Hotham and Julian Stanhope.2,3 He married, thirdly, Frances Legard, daughter of John Legard.3 He married, fourthly, Catharine Bamburgh, daughter of Sir William Bamburgh, 1st Bt. and Mary Foard.3 He married, firstly, Katherine Rodes, daughter of Sir John Rodes and Frances Constable, on 16 February 1606/7.3 He married, secondly, Anne Rokeby, daughter of Ralph Rokeby, on 16 July 1614 at Saint Johns, Beverley, Yorkshire, EnglandG.4 He married, fifthly, Sarah Anlaby, daughter of Thomas Anlaby, on 7 May 1635.1 He died on 1 January 1644/45 at Tower Hill, London, EnglandG, beheaded for communicating with Royalists.4
     He was created 1st Baronet Hotham [England] on 4 January 1621/22.3 He lived at Scorborough, Yorkshire, England.3 He held the office of Governor of Hull, during the Civil War.3

     Sarah Anlaby is the daughter of Thomas Anlaby.1 She married Sir John Hotham, 1st Bt., son of John Hotham and Julian Stanhope, on 7 May 1635.1
     From 7 May 1635, her married name became Hotham.

     Katharine Savile was the daughter of John Savile and Margaret Garraway.1 She married, firstly, Sir William Cholmley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Twysden, in April 1657.1 She married, secondly, Sir Nicholas Strode after July 1665.1 She died in 1710.1
     She was also known as Catherine Savile.2 From April 1657, her married name became Cholmley.1 From after July 1665, her married name became Strode.1

     John Savile is the son of Sir John Savile and Elizabeth Wentworth. He married, secondly, Margaret Garraway, daughter of Sir Henry Garraway.1 He married, firstly, Mary Robinson, daughter of John Robinson.2 He died in 1651.2
     He was also known as Henry Savile.3 He lived at Methley Hall, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2
