David Bernard Montgomery, 2nd Viscount Montgomery of Alamein was born on 18 August 1928.1 He was the son of Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein and Elizabeth Adah Noel Hobart.1 He married, firstly, Mary Raymond Connell, daughter of Sir Charles Connell, on 27 February 1953.1 He and Mary Raymond Connell were divorced in 1967.1 He married, secondly, Tessa Browning, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Arthur Montague Browning and Daphne du Maurier, on 30 January 1970.1 He died on 8 January 2020 at age 91.2
