     William Henry Ricketts was born on 9 November 1736 at Canaan, Westmoreland, Jamaica.2 He was the son of George Ricketts and Sarah Wayte.2 He married Mary Jervis, daughter of Swynfen Jervis and Elizabeth Parker, on 19 April 1757.3 He died on 5 October 1799 at age 62.3
     He held the office of Bencher of Gray's Inn.3 He lived at Longwood, Hampshire, England.3

     Mary Jervis was born circa 1737.2 She was the daughter of Swynfen Jervis and Elizabeth Parker.1 She married William Henry Ricketts, son of George Ricketts and Sarah Wayte, on 19 April 1757.1 She died on 12 March 1828.1
     From 19 April 1757, her married name became Ricketts.

     Swynfen Jervis was born in November 1700.2 He was the son of John Jervis and Mary Swynfen.3 He married Elizabeth Parker, daughter of George Parker and Margaret Turton, in 1727.2 He died on 19 November 1771.2
     He was a practising barrister.2 He lived at Meaford, Staffordshire, England.2

     Admiral John Jervis, 1st Earl of Saint Vincent was born on 9 January 1734/35.1 He was the son of Swynfen Jervis and Elizabeth Parker.1,3 He married Martha Parker, daughter of Sir Thomas Parker and Martha Strong, on 5 June 1783.3 He died on 13 March 1823 at age 88, without issue.4
     He gained the rank of officer in January 1748/49 in the Royal Navy.3 He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1752.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1755.3 He gained the rank of Post Captain in 1760.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1782.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Launceston between 1783 and 1784.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Great Yarmouth between 1784 and 1790.3 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1787.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Chipping Wycombe between 1790 and 1794.3 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1793.3 He was Commander-in-Chief of the West Indies between 1793 and 1795.3 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Blue in 1795.3 He gained the rank of Commander-in-Chief between 1795 and 1797 in the Mediterranean.3 From 1797 to 1798 he quelled the Mutiny at the Nore and Spithead.3 He fought in the Battle of Saint Vincent on 14 February 1797.3 He was created 1st Baron Jervis of Meaford, co.
