     Sir Charles Chad, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 April 1779.¹ He was the son of Sir George Chad, 1st Bt. and Sarah Rowles.¹ He married Lady Anne Turnour, daughter of Edward Turnour, 2nd Earl Winterton and Jane Chapman, on 14 June 1810.¹ He died on 30 September 1855 at age 76 at 1 Gloucester Square, Hyde Park, London, England^G, without surviving issue.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in October 1855.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Chad, of Thursford, co. Norfolk [G.B., 1791] on 24 November 1815.¹
     On his death, his barony became extinct.¹

     Lady Anne Turnour was born on 6 December 1785.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Turnour, 2nd Earl Winterton and Jane Chapman.¹ She married Sir Charles Chad, 2nd Bt., son of Sir George Chad, 1st Bt. and Sarah Rowles, on 14 June 1810.¹ She died on 2 February 1832 at age 46.¹
     From 14 June 1810, her married name became Chad.¹

     Edward Turnour, 2nd Earl Winterton was born on 11 May 1758.² He was the son of Edward Turnour Garth-Turnour, 1st Earl Winterton and Hon. Anne Archer.³ He married, firstly, Jane Chapman, daughter of Richard Chapman, on 6 November 1781.² He married, secondly, Harriet Board, daughter of William Board, in 1795.² He died on 23 April 1831 at age 72.²
     He was given the name of Edward Garth-Turnour at birth.² He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.² He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Turnour of Gort, co. Galway [G.B., 1766] on 20 August 1788.² He succeeded as the 2nd Earl Winterton [G.B., 1766] on 20 August 1788.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Winterton of Gort, co. Galway [G.B., 1761] on 20 August 1788.²

     Jane Chapman was the daughter of Richard Chapman.¹ She married Edward Turnour, 2nd Earl Winterton, son of Edward Turnour Garth-Turnour, 1st Earl Winterton and Hon. Anne Archer, on 6 November 1781.² She died on 18 June 1792 at Shillinglee Park, Petworth, Sussex, England.³
     From 6 November 1781, her married name became Turnour.¹ After her marriage, Jane Chapman was styled as Countess Winterton on 20 August 1788.
