     Patrick Lindsay was born circa 1718.¹ He was the son of Patrick Lindsay and Margaret Monteir.¹ He married Margaret Haliburton, daughter of Thomas Haliburton. He died on 18 October 1801, without male issue.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Lindsay was the son of Patrick Lindsay and Margaret Monteir.¹ He married Margaret Maria Halkett, daughter of Charles Hackett Craigie Halkett, in 1776.¹ He died on 8 April 1780.¹

     William Lindsay was the son of Patrick Lindsay, 4th Lord Lindsay of the Byres and Isabella Pitcairn.¹ He married Isabel Logan.¹ He died before March 1546/47.¹
     He lived at Pyotstone, Scotland^G.¹

     Isabel Logan married William Lindsay, son of Patrick Lindsay, 4th Lord Lindsay of the Byres and Isabella Pitcairn.¹
     Her married name became Lindsay.¹

     Lady Helen Stewart was the daughter of John Stewart, 2nd Earl of Atholl.¹ She married, firstly, John Lindsay, 5th Lord Lindsay of the Byres, son of Sir John Lindsay, Master of Lindsay and Elizabeth Lundie.¹ She married, secondly, Thomas Moncur in 1563.¹ She died in 1577.¹
     Her married name became Lindsay.¹ From 1563, her married name became Moncur.¹

     John Douglas Gore was born on 7 October 1916.¹ He was the son of Arthur Henry Baldwin Gore and Margaret Jane Browne.¹ He married Evelyn Mae Wagner on 4 July 1946.¹ He died in 1976.¹
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.)¹

     Patrick Lindsay, 6th Lord Lindsay of the Byres was born in 1521.¹ He was the son of John Lindsay, 5th Lord Lindsay of the Byres and Lady Helen Stewart.² He married Euphemia Douglas, daughter of Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven and Margaret Erskine, circa May 1545.¹ He died on 11 December 1589.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Lord Lindsay of the Byres [S., 1444] circa 17 December 1563.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1565.¹ He was a leader in the murder of Rizzio, the secretary and favourite of Mary, Queen of Scots.¹ He held the office of Joint Lord-Lieutenant and Justice of Fife in 1572.¹ He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh in 1573.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Fife in 1574.¹ In 1582 he was involved in the Raid of Ruthven.¹
