Frederick Cawley, 1st Baron Cawley was born on 9 October 1850 at Priestlands, Bunbury, Cheshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Cawley and Harriet Bird.3 He married Elizabeth Smith, daughter of John Smith and Fanny Robson, on 24 August 1876 at Audlem, Cheshire, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 30 March 1937 at age 86 at Berrington Hall, Leominster, Herefordshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was buried on 2 April 1937 at Eye Leominster, Herefordshire, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate), at £864,479 gross and £730,469 net.2
