Peter Carmichael of Dron was the son of John Carmichael, 1st of Balmedie and Isabel Sibbald.2 He married Euphame Wemyss before 1500.1 He died before 30 May 1545, without male issue.1
He held the office of Sheriff of Forfarshire in 1500.1 In 1509 who had Charters of the lands of Dron, Craigpottie, Kirkdroyne, Abernethy and others.1 He held the office of Heritable Baillie of Abernethy between 11 July 1528 and 1545, which was held by the Carmichaels of Balmedie, until the abolition of heritable jurisdictions in 1748.1

Sir John Somerville, 1st of Cambusnethan was born circa 1457.2 He was the son of John Somerville, 2nd Lord Somerville and Mariota Baillie.3 He married Elizabeth Carmichael, daughter of John Carmichael, 1st of Balmedie and Isabel Sibbald, on 3 July 1489.1 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, EnglandG, killed in action.3
