     Jean Campbell was the daughter of Archibald Campbell.2 She married David Campbell, son of John Campbell, 5th of Barcaldine and Margaret Jean Campbell, in March 1756.1

     Archibald Campbell was born in 1750/51.1 He was the son of David Campbell and unknown wife (?)2 He married Margaret Philip, daughter of Robert Philip.1 He died on 3 January 1782, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Ensign in 1775 in the 71st (Fraser’s) Highlanders.1 He fought in the Battle of Videaur Bridge on 3 January 1782.1

     Colin Campbell was born in June 1752.1 He was the son of David Campbell and Jean Campbell.2 He married, firstly, unknown wife (?)1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hardy, daughter of Richard Hardy, on 15 November 1796.1
     He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)1 He was a practising Notary Public in 1782 at New York, U.S.A.G.1 He was a practising Notary Public in 1784 at Shelborune, Nova Scotia, CanadaG.1 He was admitted to Nova Scotia Bar in 1787.1 He was Comptroller of Customs and Crown Lands, Registrar of Deeds, and Collector of Customs.1 He was Judge of Probates.1

     John Campbell was born on 16 August 1797.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell and Elizabeth Hardy.2 He was baptised on 28 August 1797.1 He died in 1870.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Nova Scotia], for Queen’s County.1
