Lieutenant John Blakeney1

     Lieutenant John Blakeney was the son of William Blakeney and Elizabeth Bowerman.1 He died on 1 February 1720.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 13 April 1709 in the Colonel Churchill's Regiment of Marines.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June 1715 in the Sir Harry Goring's 31st Regiment of Foot.1

     Sir George William Prescott, 1st Bt. was born in 1748.2 He married Sarah Long, daughter of Beeston Long and Sarah Cropp, on 21 April 1774.1 He died in 1801.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Prescott, of Theobald's Park [Great Britain] in 1794.

     Deborah Smyth was born circa 1705. She was the daughter of Grice Smyth and Gertrude Taylor.1 She married Major Robert Blakeney, son of William Blakeney and Elizabeth Bowerman, on 27 January 1729.1
     From 27 January 1729, her married name became Blakeney.1

     Grice Smyth was the son of Richard Smyth.2 He married Gertrude Taylor, daughter of William Taylor. He died before 24 April 1724.2

     Lieutenant William Blakeney was born in 1733.1 He was the son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth.1 He married Gertrude Smyth, daughter of Richard Smyth, on 9 June 1764.1 He died on 15 September 1811.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1752 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1756 in the Lt.-Col. Robert Blakeney's Dragoons.1 He was admitted on 22 May 1759, entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-law.1 He lived at Mount Blakeney, Kilmallock, County Limerick, IrelandG,1, at 36 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG,1 and at Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1

Gertrude Smyth1

     Gertrude Smyth was the daughter of Richard Smyth.1 She married Lieutenant William Blakeney, son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth, on 9 June 1764.1 She was buried on 26 August 1768 at St. Andrew's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
     From 9 June 1764, her married name became Blakeney.1

General Grice Blakeney1

     General Grice Blakeney was the son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth.1 He died on 16 November 1816, unmarried, aged 75.2
     He was the Lieutenant-Colonel Commander of the 14th Dragoons.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1790 in the 4th (Blakeney's) Royal Veteran Batallion.1,2 He gained the rank of General in the Army.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for counties Limerick, Cork, and Tipperary.1
