Theodosia Ward was baptised on 15 May 1642 at St. Edmund's Church, Dudley, Staffordshire, EnglandG.1 She was born circa May 1642 at Wren's Nest House, Dudley, Staffordshire, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Humble Ward, 1st Baron Ward of Birmingham and Frances Dudley, Baroness Dudley.1 She married, firstly, Sir Thomas Brereton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Brereton, 1st Bt. and Susan Booth, before 1664.1 She married, secondly, Charles Brereton before February 1677.1 She was buried on 18 January 1678/79 at Cheadle, Cheshire, EnglandG.1

Sir Thomas Brereton, 2nd Bt. was born in 1632.1 He was the son of Sir William Brereton, 1st Bt. and Susan Booth.1 He married Theodosia Ward, daughter of Humble Ward, 1st Baron Ward of Birmingham and Frances Dudley, Baroness Dudley, before 1664.1 He died on 7 January 1673/74, without issue.1 He was buried at Cheadle, Cheshire, EnglandG.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Brereton, of Hanforde, co. Chester [E., 1627] on 7 April 1661.1

Sir William Brereton, 1st Bt. was baptised in 1604 at Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of William Brereton and Margaret Holland.2 He was born on 13 September 1604.3 He married, secondly, Cicely Skeffington, daughter of Sir William Skeffington, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dering.4 He married, firstly, Susan Booth, daughter of Sir George Booth, 1st Bt. and Katharine Anderson, in 1623.3 He died on 7 April 1661 at Croydon Palace, Croydon, Surrey, EnglandG.4 He was buried on 9 April 1661 at Cheadle, Cheshire, EnglandG, however the tradition is that his coffin was swept away between Croydon and Cheadle.4 His will (dated 6 April 1661) was proven (by probate) on 27 July 1661.4 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 27 July 1661.4
