     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Korean War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1951.¹ He lived in 1976 at Belgrove, Cobh, County Cork, Ireland^G.²

     Harold Perry Goodbody was born on 4 March 1904.² He is the son of Joseph Harold Goodbody and Mary MacLellan.³ He married Emma Margaret Newson, daughter of Samuel Frederick Newson, on 27 July 1932.² He died on 17 January 1972 at age 67.²

     Margaret Perry Goodbody was born on 3 December 1935.² She is the daughter of Harold Perry Goodbody and Emma Margaret Newson.^1,3 She married James Charles Butler, son of James Whitwell Butler and Hilda Winifred Haines, on 3 October 1959.¹
     From 3 October 1959, her married name became Butler.
