     Alfred Hardinge Fetherstonhaugh was born on 7 April 1901.1 He was the son of Richard Henderson Fetherstonhaugh and Mary Pratt.1 He married, firstly, Edna Maude Smalldridge, daughter of William John Smalldridge, on 12 September 1921.1 He and Edna Maude Smalldridge were divorced in 1933.1 He married, secondly, Phyllis Audrey Maud Cox, daughter of Henry Aubrey Cox, on 7 December 1933.1 He died on 6 February 1973 at age 71.1
     He was educated at St. Bees, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of Cadet Pilot in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was Chief Game Warden of the Federation of Malaya States between 1920 and 1922.1 He was with the Colonial Service between 1928 and 1952.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW (1942-45.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the Federation of Malaya States Volunteer Force and Royal Pioneer Corps.1 He was District Inspector with the Irish Constabulary.1 He lived at Ardmanagh House, Glenbrook, Passage West, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He lived at Kenyam, Strawhall, Monkstown, County Cork, IrelandG.1
