Lt.-Col. Duncan Campbell, 5th of South Hall was born on 30 November 1813.1 He was the son of John Campbell, 3rd of South Hall and Mary Campbell.1 He married Ellen Barcroft Parker, daughter of Edward Parker and Ellen Barcroft, on 10 October 1850.1 He died on 8 September 1905 at age 91.1
