Sir Richard Bulkeley was the son of Rowland Bulkeley.2 He married, firstly, Mary Burgh, daughter of William Burgh, 2nd Lord Burgh and Lady Katharine Clinton. He married, secondly, Catherine Davenport, daughter of Sir William Davenport.3 He died on 28 June 1621.1
He lived at Baron Hill, Beaumaris, Anglesey, WalesG.1 He was Constable Beaumaris Castle, Sheriff Anglesey , Member of Parliament (M.P.) Anglesey 1571, 1603–11 and 1614, Mayor Beaumaris in 1570.3

Magdalen Poulteney was the daughter of Sir John Poulteney.1 She married Sir Thomas Aston, 1st Bt., son of John Aston and Maud Needham, in 1627.1 She died on 2 June 1635, without surviving issue.1 She was buried at Aston, Cheshire, EnglandG.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered to her husband on 30 June 1636.1
