Charles Leigh Adderley, 2nd Baron Norton1

     Charles Leigh Adderley, 2nd Baron Norton was born on 10 March 1846.2 He was the son of Charles Bowyer Adderley, 1st Baron Norton and Hon. Julia Anne Eliza Leigh.2 He married Caroline Ellen Dixie, daughter of Sir Alexander Beaumont Churchill Dixie, 10th Bt. and Maria Catharine Walters, on 15 December 1870.2 He died on 4 December 1926 at age 80.2
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was Assistant Local Government Board Inspector in 1870.2 He was Private Secretary to the President of the Board of Trade between 1874 and 1878.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Rutland.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Rutland.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Norton, of Norton-on-the-Moors, co. Stafford [U.K., 1878] on 28 March 1905.2

     Major John Granville Thynne was born on 28 April 1917.1 He was the son of George Augustus Carteret Thynne and Hon. Gladys Isabel Annette Adderley.1 He married, firstly, Marianne Madeleine de Jenner, daughter of Baron John de Jenner, on 19 January 1946.1 He married, secondly, Yvonne Chudleigh, daughter of Major Cuthbert Augustine Edward Chudleigh, in 1991.2 He died on 27 November 2001 at age 84 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Horse Guards.1 He lived in 1999 at Hays House, Shaftesbury, Dorset, EnglandG.1

Marianne Madeleine de Jenner1

     Marianne Madeleine de Jenner was the daughter of Baron John de Jenner.1 She married Major John Granville Thynne, son of George Augustus Carteret Thynne and Hon. Gladys Isabel Annette Adderley, on 19 January 1946.1 She died on 20 October 1990.1,2
     From 19 January 1946, her married name became Thynne.1
