Beatrice de Aviz was born illegitmately, although probably legitimated later before 1395.1 She was the daughter of João I de Aviz, Rei de Portugal and Inez Perez.1 She married, firstly, Thomas Fitzalan, 5th/12th Earl of Arundel, son of Richard FitzAlan, 4th/11th Earl of Arundel and Lady Elizabeth de Bohun, on 26 November 1405 at Lambeth, London, EnglandG, in the presence of the court.2 She married, secondly, John de Holand, 1st Duke of Exeter, son of John de Holand, 1st Duke of Exeter and Elizabeth Plantagenet, on 20 January 1432/33.1 She died on 23 October 1439 at Bordeaux, FranceG, without issue.1 She was buried at Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sussex, EnglandG.1

Edward le Despenser, 1st Lord le Despenser was born on 24 March 1335/36.2 He was the son of Sir Edward le Despenser and Anne de Ferrers.2 He married Elizabeth Burghersh, daughter of Bartholomew Burghersh, 2nd Lord Burghersh and Cicely Weyland, before 2 August 1354.3 He died on 11 November 1375 at age 39.2
