     William Henry Baring was born on 1 December 1819.1 He was the son of William Baring and Frances Poulett-Thomson.1 He married Elizabeth Hammersley, daughter of Charles Hammersley and Emily Poulett-Thomson, on 21 April 1849.2,3 He died in June 1906 at age 86.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.4 He lived at Norman Court, Hampshire, EnglandG.5
     He had one other daughter, who died unmarried.1
