Sir William de la Haye, 1st Lord Hay1

     Sir William de la Haye, 1st Lord Hay was the son of Sir Thomas de la Haye, 7th of Erroll and Elizabeth Stewart.1 He married Margaret Gray, daughter of Sir Patrick Gray.1 He died in 1437.2
     He was appointed Knight.1 He was Commissioner to treat for the ransom of King James I in 1423.2 He held the office of Joint Lord Warden of the Marches in 1430.2 He was created 1st Lord Hay [Scotland] before March 1429/30, following an Act of 1428 drawing a distinction between Lords of Parliament and the ordinary lairds in the Scots baronage.2

     Margaret Gray was the daughter of Sir Patrick Gray.1 She married Sir William de la Haye, 1st Lord Hay, son of Sir Thomas de la Haye, 7th of Erroll and Elizabeth Stewart.1
     Her married name became de la Haye.

     Sir Gilbert Hay, 1st of Dronlaw is the son of Sir Thomas de la Haye, 7th of Erroll and Elizabeth Stewart.2 He married Elizabeth Reid in 1416.1
     He was ancestor of the Hays of Delgaty and the Hays of Park, Baronets.3 He was appointed Knight in 1408.2 In 1429 he was among the Scots knights with Joan of Arc at the coronation of King Charles VII of France.3 He was Baillie of the Barony of Slains on 5 October 1436.4

     Elizabeth Reid married Sir Gilbert Hay, 1st of Dronlaw, son of Sir Thomas de la Haye, 7th of Erroll and Elizabeth Stewart, in 1416.1
     She lived Carnmuck.1 Gilbert.1 From 1416, her married name became Hay. His descendants inherited Delgaty on the extinction of the elder legitimate line in the person of the William who died 1548 without issue.1

Sir George Leslie of Rothes1

     Sir George Leslie of Rothes was born in 1350.1 He was the son of John Leslie of Rothes.2 He married Elizabeth de la Haye, daughter of Sir Thomas de la Haye, 7th of Erroll and Elizabeth Stewart.1 He died after February 1411/12.1
     He lived at Rothes, ScotlandG.1 In February 1397/98 he was granted by Royal Charter, with his wife, Fythkill, Fife, which he renamed Leslie.2 He was nominal heir to Ballinbreich, but was kept out of possession by Sir Andrew's life-rent and the unexpected return of David Leslie.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Kent in 1409.2

     Sir Thomas Hay of Lochorwart and Yester was the son of Sir William Hay of Lochorwart and Yester and Alice de la Haye.1 He died in February 1433/34, unmarried.1

Edmund Hay of Tala1

     Edmund Hay of Tala is the son of Sir William Hay of Lochorwart and Yester and Alice de la Haye.1
     He was ancestor of the Hays of Cocklaw, Faichfield, Linplum, Mountblairy, Ranfield, Rannes and Alderston.2 On 12 August 1439 he had a charter of Tala, Peebles-shire.2

James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Douglas1

     James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Douglas was born circa 1358.1 He was the son of William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas and Margaret, Countess of Mar.2,3 He married Isabella Stewart, daughter of Robert II Stewart, King of Scotland and Elizabeth Mure of Rowallan, after 24 September 1371.1 He died circa 14 August 1388 killed in action.1,3 He was buried before 18 August 1388 at Melrose, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.3
     He was appointed Knight in 1378.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Douglas [S., 1358] in May 1384.1 He fought in the Battle of Otterburn on 14 August 1388, (Chevy Chase.)3 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.4
