Arthur Morton Grenfell was born on 21 October 1873.² He was the son of Pascoe du Pré Grenfell and Sophia Grenfell.^1,2 He married, firstly, Lady Victoria Sybil Mary Grey, daughter of Albert Henry George Grey, 4th Earl Grey and Alice Holford, on 23 July 1901.² He married, secondly, Hilda Margaret Lyttelton, daughter of General Rt. Hon. Sir Neville Gerald Lyttelton and Katharine Sarah Stuart-Wortley, on 23 February 1909.¹ He died on 24 November 1958 at age 85.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times and was wounded twice.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Buckinghamshire Hussars.² He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)²

     Lady Elizabeth Hay was the daughter of George Hay, 7th Earl of Erroll and Margaret Robertson.^1,2 A contract for the marriage of Lady Elizabeth Hay and William Keith, Master of Marischal was signed on 13 January 1543/44.¹

     Margaret Wemyss was born before 1544. She was the daughter of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Katherine Sinclair.¹ She married James Wemyss of Pittencrieff.¹
