He was educated at Grammar School, Ottery St. Mary, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Christ's Hospital, London, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1763.1 He was a practising Special Pleader between 1765 and 1772.1 In 1772 barrister.5 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1772 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in December 1777.1 He held the office of Judge of the County Palatine of Chester in December 1777.1 He held the office of Judge of the Court of the King's Bench between 6 May 1778 and 1794.1 He was created 1st Baronet Buller [Great Britain] on 13 January 1790.6 He held the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas between 10 June 1794 and 1800.4

Sybil Frederica Coore Paton was the daughter of Frederick Lechmere Paton and Frederica Gwen Chenevix Trench.1 She married Major Douglas Maitland Makgill Crichton, son of Major Charles Julian Maitland Makgill Crichton and Sybil Twynihoe Erie, on 24 October 1936.2 She died in 1992.1

Major Douglas Maitland Makgill Crichton was born on 24 April 1909.2 He was the son of Major Charles Julian Maitland Makgill Crichton and Sybil Twynihoe Erie.2,3 He married Sybil Frederica Coore Paton, daughter of Frederick Lechmere Paton and Frederica Gwen Chenevix Trench, on 24 October 1936.2 He died on 5 April 1968 at age 58.2

Sir Thomas Bland, 1st Bt. was born circa 1614.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Bland and Katherine Savile.1 He married Rosamond Nevile, daughter of Francis Nevile and Rosamond Arthington, before 1642.1 He died circa October 1657.1 He was buried on 24 October 1657 at Kippax Park, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his widow on 10 February 1657/58.1
He was created 1st Baronet Bland, of Kippax Park, co. York [England] on 30 August 1642.1 On 24 March 1648 he was fined £405, and his estates sequestered, although he pleaded poverty.1
