Floyd Hastings McCoy1

     Floyd Hastings McCoy was born on 7 January 1897 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He was the son of George Francis Chris Warren and Adelia Carrie Jordon McCoy.1 He married Violet Ann Ferris on 5 February 1941 at Auckland, New ZealandG.1 He died on 15 September 1963 at age 66 at Pitcairn IslandG.1
     He was a trained navigator, and served as Pitcairn's police inspector. In
1956, they lived in a British-style home, and were considered more 'worldly'
than the average Pitcairn family. He was the first ham radio operator of
Pitcairn to set up a station powerful enough to maintain fairly constant
communication with similar stations in the Southwestern USA. (Ferdon:
Pitcairn Island, 1956).1

     Bookkeeper for the Pitcairn co-op store. An inveterate letter-writer, she
corresponded all over the world, and was responsible for building a stamp
business which she operated until her death.1 Reference: 'VI.1' Her married name became McCoy.1

     Olive Mary Simpson was the daughter of Charles Liddell Simpson.1 She married Sir Francis Edward Colquhoun Blake, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Douglas Blake, 1st Bt. and Selina Colquhoun Burns, on 16 February 1924.1 She died on 23 October 1946, killed in a car crash.1
     From 16 February 1924, her married name became Blake.1
