Millie Flora Coffin was born on 10 November 1907 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 She was the daughter of Philip Cook Coffin and Mary Jane Florence Warren.1 She married Warren Clive Christian, son of Richard Edgar Allen Christian and Adelia Carrie Jordon McCoy, in 1942 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 She died on 7 July 2001 at age 93 at Adamstown, Pitcairn Island.2
From 1942, her married name became Christian.1 She became an unknown person 's adoptive mother. She lived in 1993 at Pitcairn IslandG.3 Because her father was from Nantucket, MA, she likes to refer to herself as an 'American Pitcairner'. She has a gentle, round face and a soft round body to match. Yet her great, leg-of-mutton arms have the strength of a man's. She is unusual among the women in that she has no trace of her polynesian ancestry in her features. She wears the first set of dentures made on the island, a workable set constructed by a neighbor, Hilda Young, in 1954. (Ball: Pitcairn: Children of Mutiny).
She is pictured with her daughter and family on p. 516 of: Howard: Pitcairn and Norfolk, National Geographic, October 1983.1
