Lt.-Col. William Thornhill Blois was born on 1 August 1842.1 He was the son of Commander John Ralph Blois and Eliza Knox Barrett.1 He married Fanny Elizabeth Arkwright, daughter of William Arkwright, on 4 June 1874.1 He died on 5 April 1889 at age 46.1
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Derbyshire.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 6th Royal Warwickshire Regiment.1

Herbert Metcalfe King Nobbs was born on 21 May 1913 at Longridge, Norfolk IslandG.1 He was the son of Benjamin Brancker Nobbs and Harriet Sybil King.1 He married Dolores Pearl Buffett, daughter of George Hunn Nobbs Buffett and Gladys Amelia O'Brien, in 1936.1 He and Dolores Pearl Buffett were divorced after 1943.1 He married Dorothy Henrikson circa 1946 at Norfolk IslandG.1 He died on 20 November 1992 at age 79 at Norfolk IslandG.1
Herbert Metcalfe King Nobbs also went by the nick-name of Herbie. He gained the rank of SPR in the 3rd FD SQN and 2/2 FD CO RAE.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was a Post Office Accountant.1 After school On Norfolk, he worked in his father's sawmill. After the war, he returned to Norfolk where he was involved in farming and whaling. Finally, he obtained a position with the Post Office in the accounts section. He was a keen sportsman, and played rugby for the original Longridge Football Club. He was also the President and for 20 years the Treasurer of the Returned Servicemen's Club, and a well-respected Anglican elder.
