     Sir William Grierson, 9th of Lag was born circa 1567.2 He was the son of Roger Grierson, 8th of Lag and Helen Douglas.1 He married Nicola Maxwell, daughter of Sir John Maxwell and Agnes Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles, on 9 May 1593.1 He died on 21 January 1629.1,2
     He fought in the Battle of Dryfe Sands in 1593, 'escaped only by the fleet-ness of his horse.2' On 11 May 1597 he had sasine of Larglanley.1 He was appointed Knight in 1608.1 On 16 May 1609 he had sasine of Windiehill.1 On 26 June 1616 he had sasine of Capenock.1

Anne Cotton1

     Anne Cotton was the daughter of Sir Robert Cotton, 1st Bt. and Hester Salusbury.1 She married Sir Thomas Taylor, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Taylor and Anne Axtell, on 20 June 1682.1 She died on 22 August 1710.1
     From 20 June 1682, her married name became Taylor.1

Hester Salusbury1

     Hester Salusbury was the daughter of Sir Thomas Salusbury, 2nd Bt. and Hester Tyrrell.1,2 She married Sir Robert Cotton, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Cotton and Elizabeth Calveley.3 She died in 1710.3
     Her married name became Cotton.

Sir Thomas Salusbury, his wife Hester

     Sir Thomas Salusbury, 2nd Bt. was born in 1612.3 He was the son of Sir Henry Salusbury, 1st Bt. and Hester Myddelton.4 He married Hester Tyrrell, daughter of Sir Edward Tyrrell, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Kingsmill, after 1632.2 He died in 1643.3
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Salusbury.

Sir Thomas Taylor, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Thomas Taylor, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1690.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Taylor, 1st Bt. and Anne Cotton.1 He married Sarah Graham, daughter of John Graham and Charity Newton, on 18 November 1714.2 He died in October 1757.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Taylor, of Kells, co. Meath [I., 1704] on 22 August 1710.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kells between 1713 and 1757.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1753.2

     Sarah Graham was the daughter of John Graham and Charity Newton.1 She married Sir Thomas Taylor, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Taylor, 1st Bt. and Anne Cotton, on 18 November 1714.2
     From 18 November 1714, her married name became Taylor.1

     General Hon. Robert Taylour was born on 26 November 1760.1 He was the son of Thomas Taylour, 1st Earl of Bective and Hon. Jane Rowley.1 He died on 23 April 1839 at age 78, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 6th Dragoon Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kells between 1790 and 1800.1
