     David Gregorie was born on 13 February 1724/25.1 He was the son of George Gregorie and Sophie van Wijngarden.1 He married, firstly, Anne Macaulay, daughter of Archibald Macaulay, in September 1757 at London, EnglandG.1 He married, secondly, Eliza Gibson on 15 November 1788.1 He died in 1791 at Dunkirk, FranceG.1
