Gerald FitzJames FitzGerald, 14th Earl of Desmond1

     Gerald FitzJames FitzGerald, 14th Earl of Desmond was born circa 1533.1 He was the son of James FitzJohn FitzGerald, 13th Earl of Desmond and Móre O'Carroll.1 He married, firstly, Lady Joan FitzGerald, daughter of James FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 10th Earl of Desmond, circa 1551.2 He married Hon. Eleanor Butler, daughter of Edmund Butler, 1st/11th Baron Dunboyne and Julia MacCarthy, before 11 January 1567/68. He died on 11 November 1583.1
     He gained the title of 14th Earl of Desmond.1 'The Rebel Earl.3'

Móre O'Carroll1

     Móre O'Carroll is the daughter of Mulrony McShane O'Carroll and Margaret O'Brien.1,2 She married James FitzJohn FitzGerald, 13th Earl of Desmond, son of Sir John of Desmond. She died in 1548.3
     Her married name became FitzGerald.1

     Mulrony McShane O'Carroll married Margaret O'Brien, daughter of Turlogh Donn O'Brien, Prince of Thomond and Ellen FitzGerald.1
     He was Lord or Chief of Ely.1 He was also known as Maolrony.2

     Penelope O'Brien is the daughter of Sir Donal O'Brien and Slany O'Brien.1,2 She married, firstly, Thomas FitzMaurice, 14th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, son of Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Una MacMahon, after 1563.1 She married, secondly, Owney O'Loughlin.3 She and Thomas FitzMaurice, 14th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw were separated in 1580 repudiating her so he could marry his third wife, but he may have later remarried her.3
     She was also known as Finola.1 From after 1563, her married name became FitzMaurice.1 Her married name became O'Loughlin.3

     Edward Stanley was born at Workington, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Reverend John Stanley and Clara Phillipson.1 He married Julia Christian, daughter of John Christian and Jane Curwen, on 11 November 1769.2 He died on 6 May 1810.1
     He was a practising Barrister-at-Law.2
