Hannah Boate1

     Hannah Boate was the daughter of Edward Boate.1 She married Sir Josiah Child, 1st Bt., son of Richard Child and Elizabeth Roycroft, on 26 December 1654 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, EnglandG. She died circa July 1662.1 She was buried on 29 July 1662 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
     From 26 December 1654, her married name became Child.1

     Edward Herbert, 1st Baron Herbert of Chirbury was born on 3 March 1582/83.1 He was the son of Richard Herbert and Magdalen Newport.3,4 He married Mary Herbert, daughter of Sir William Herbert, on 28 February 1598/99 at Eyton, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He died on 5 August 1648 at age 65 at Queen Street, London, EnglandG.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomeryshire in 1601.4 He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.4 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1603.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Merionethshire between 1604 and 1611.4 He held the office of Ambassador to France between 1619 and 1624.4 He wrote the book De Veritate, published 1624.4 He was created 1st Baron Herbert of Castle Island [Ireland] on 13 December 1624.4 He gained the title of 1st Baron Herbert of Chirbury [England] on 7 May 1629.4 He was also known as Privy Counsellor (P.C.)4 He wrote the book De Religione Gentilium, published 1645.4 He held the office of Warden of the Stannaries in 1646.4 He wrote the book Life and Raigne of King Henry VIII, published 1649.4 He was awarded the Expeditio Buckinghami Ducis in 1656.4 He wrote the book Poems, published 1665.4 He wrote the book Autobiography, published 1764.4
