     Lt.-Col. William Frank Philip Currie was born on 14 July 1928.2 He was the son of Major Philip John Reginald Currie and Margaret Dorothea Willan.1,2 He married Ann Katharine Hamilton-Russell, daughter of Edric Claud Hamilton-Russell and Helen Rosa Humble, on 6 July 1953.1 He died on 6 February 2018 at age 89.3
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 21 October 1948.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 30 June 1972 in the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars.1 He retired from the military on 12 September 1979.2

     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
