     Catherine Anne Donaldson was born on 22 November 1817 at London, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Betty Cundale.1 She married Samuel Rawlins, son of Samuel Rawlins and Sarah Pountney, on 27 December 1842 at Paddington, London, EnglandG.3 She died on 21 March 1895 at age 77.1
     From 27 December 1842, her married name became Rawlins.1

George Hay Donaldson1

     George Hay Donaldson was born on 22 April 1810.1 He was the son of Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Betty Cundale.1 He married Emma de Blois Russell, daughter of James Russell, on 4 September 1844.1 He died on 24 April 1872 at age 62, without issue.1
     A paid report from a public meeting about Australian emigration in The Times on Saturday 10 April 1841 identifies George Hay Donaldson as seconding a motion critical of new conditions imposed on the bounty emigration system by Colonial Land and Emigration Commissioners. Stuart Donaldson and John Lambert are also identified as moving or seconding complaints against the conditions.

A notice of a company annual general meeting in The Times on Saturday 5 March 1853 identifies George Hay Donaldson as one of the two auditors of the Australasian Gold Mining Company.

A notice in The Times on Monday 12 February 1855 identifies George Hay Donaldson as offering himself as a candidate for a vacant seat in the board of directors of the Colonial Gold Company.

     Amy Catherine Donaldson was the daughter of Reverend Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Lady Albinia Frederica Hobart-Hampden.1 She married Richard Herbert Ingpen de la Mare, son of Walter de la Mare and Elfie Ingpen, on 5 June 1930.1 She died on 31 August 1968.1
     From 5 June 1930, her married name became de la Mare.1

     Mary Donaldson is the daughter of Reverend Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Lady Albinia Frederica Hobart-Hampden.1 She married Anthony Tuer Shawcross, son of Harold Shawcross and Rachel Huxley, on 5 May 1927.1
     From 5 May 1927, her married name became Shawcross.1 She lived in 1970 at Haut Les Bois, Narrefour, St. Lawrence, Jersey, Channel IslandsG.1

     John George Stuart Donaldson, Baron Donaldson of Kingsbridge was born on 9 October 1907.2 He was the son of Reverend Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Lady Albinia Frederica Hobart-Hampden.1 He married Frances Annesley Lonsdale, daughter of Frederick Lonsdale, on 20 February 1935.1 He died on 8 March 1998 at age 90.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1944.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1960 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was created Baron Donaldson of Kingsbridge, of Kingsbridge in the County of Buckinghamshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 20 November 1967.3

Brig.-Gen. Sir Hay Frederick Donaldson1

     Brig.-Gen. Sir Hay Frederick Donaldson was born on 7 July 1856.1 He was the son of Sir Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Amelia Cowper.1 He married Selina Beresford, daughter of Colonel Francis Marcus Beresford and Elizabeth Green, on 15 July 1884.1 He died on 5 June 1916 at age 59, drowned on H.M.S. Hampshire, off the Orkney Islands.1
     Brigadier-General Sir (Hay) Frederick Donaldson KCB (7 July 1856 - 5 June 1916) was an English mechanical engineer.

He was educated at Eton College, Trinity College, Cambridge, University of Edinburgh and Zurich University.

He was Chief Superintendent of the Royal Ordnance Factories, Woolwich, before the First World War and chief engineering adviser to the Ministry of Munitions under Lloyd George.

He was one of the advisers selected to accompany the Secretary of State for War Lord Kitchener on a mission to Russia in June 1916 and perished with all but 12 others when their ship, HMS Hampshire, struck a German mine off the Orkney Islands.

He was president of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1913 and 1914.

On 15 July 1884, he married Selina Beresford (1859-1938), daughter of Colonel Francis Beresford MP. They had three children. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at Zurich University, Zurich, SwitzerlandG.1 He was the Chief Engineer between 1892 and 1897 at India Docks, London, EnglandG.1 He was Deputy Director-General of Ordnance Factories between 1898 and 1899.1 He was Chief Mechanical Engineer between 1899 and 1903.1 He was Chief Superintendant between 1903 and 1911.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1909.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1911.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was with the Ministry of Munitions in 1915.1

     John Abel Smith was born on 2 June 1802.1 He was the son of John Smith and Elizabeth Tucker.1 He married Anne Jervoise, daughter of Sir Samuel Clarke Jervoise, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Griffenhoofe, on 26 December 1827.1 He died on 7 January 1871 at age 68.1
