We’re still a few weeks away from the premiere of DC Comics’ Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 on The CW, but The Blot is pretty excited if for no other reason than the world debut of the JSA as part of the DCW TV universe. Season 1 was a little uneven, but I’m still interested in the show. It should be interesting to see how all of the changes to the cast will affect the team’s dynamics. Things can get a little cramp on Waverider.

After a lengthy delay, Kidrobot’s much anticipated DC Comics “New 52” Blind Box Mini Figure Series has finally hit store shelves! For this series, Kidrobot has taken the heroes and villains of the DC Universe and put their unique spin on their modern day looks. What The Blot loves most of all about this series is it’s not just another Batman centric toy line. And even though it doesn’t include Booster Gold, Kidrobot did an amazing job picking a wide range of figures from DC’s original “New 52” soft reboot. I especially love how many characters they included from the Dark/Vertigo corner of the DCU!

The DC Comics “New 52” Mini Figure Blind Box Series by Kidrobot includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Red Hood, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, and Deadman, and villains The Joker and Harley Quinn. The only shocking part of this awesome series is how few villains were included! But let’s be honesty, you’ve got to love the diversity of this toy line. And any designer toy line that includes Cyborg, Blue Beetle, Animal Man and Swamp Thing gets an A+ from The Blot.

Whether you’re a fan of The CW’s Arrow television series or DC Comics’ Emerald Archer, Green Arrow, you won’t want to miss out on this awesome new line of Arrow ReAction retro action figures by Funko and Super7! The Blot’s still not sure how I feel about a retro line like this featuring modern properties like Arrow, especially when the show already has a line of highly articulated 6” action figures. But I know hardcore fans of the hit show will want to scoop up all of these figures regardless. The Arrow ReAction Series includes Arrow, Black Canary, Deathstroke and the Dark Archer. They have to have a second series in the works, right!?! I need a wave featuring Roy, Diggle, Felicity and the Atom ASAP!

Besides LOST, the two television shows The Blot’s been hoping to see Funko give the Pop! treatment were The CW’s Arrow and The Flash! Thankfully I haven’t had to wait very long to see DC Comics’ most popular television shows turned into awesome vinyl figures. I know I’m biased, but these look fantastic! You really can’t get more show accurate. Arrow Pop! Television Series 1 includes The Arrow, Oliver Queen, Black Canary and the deadly Deathstroke, while The Flash Pop! Television Series 1 includes The Flash and Captain Cold. But where’s Cisco!?!

You probably remember the awesome Batman Villains Tuttz and Jelly Bot Sets that The Jelly Empire released at New York Comic-Con last year. What you may not have seen is this awesome Green Arrow and Black Canary set she also released! The Blot really loves this set, including how Selina used Black Canary’s new modern era look. Marvel and DC’s B list characters never get as much love as their A list counterparts get, so I’m always excited when an artist decides to make colorways featuring characters that might not be household names. Although with how well Arrow is doing on The CW, Green Arrow may be considered an A lister someday soon. Unfortunately this Argonaut Resins x The Jelly Empire Tuttz Mini and Jelly Bot resin figure set sold almost immediately upon release at NYCC 2012.
