The Radeon X1650 XT was a performance-segment graphics card by ATI, launched on October 30th, 2006. Built on the 80 nm process, and based on the RV560 graphics processor, in its RV560 XT variant, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. Since Radeon X1650 XT does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The RV560 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 230 mm² and 312 million transistors. It features 24 pixel shaders and 8 vertex shaders, 8 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has paired 256 MB GDDR3 memory with the Radeon X1650 XT, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 525 MHz, memory is running at 700 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, the ATI Radeon X1650 XT does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 55 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. Radeon X1650 XT is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface. Its price at launch was 199 US Dollars.
