Kojima’s Overdose may be coming later this year, but many have been waiting years for an IT: Pennywise horror game, and that’s why TeaserPlay decided to tease fans with a trailer showing how it could look if made in Unreal Engine 5. Since Pennywise has several abilities, including the ability to shift into any shape the mind can imagine, this would work quite well with next-generations graphics.
From what we can see in this trailer, it would make the most sense for IT: Pennywise to be an open world game, as the player can explore several areas, such as a theme park, haunted house, etc. In the novel, IT is a shapeshifting monster who normally takes the form of Pennywise the Dancing Clown that arrived on Earth during an asteroid impact and made its home on the ground upon which Derry would later be constructed. This means a series of games would most likely be needed to cover the entire story, or so we think.

Pennywise is still popular and scary enough to expect a AAA horror game from it…many small games have been made based on the character, but this time we tried to imagine a realistic graphic for its possible game,” said TeaserPlay.
