The trans flag was created in 1999 by activist Monica Helms. As an advocate for trans rights, Helms designed a flag that encompassed all members of the trans community. The light blue and light pink stripes represent men and women, while the central white stripe represents individuals who don’t have a specific gender label for themselves. The white stripe can also stand for people who are currently transitioning to a different gender or intersex individuals.^{[6]

Is there a non-binary gender emoji?

There is no currently no emoji that is specifically non-binary, however the transgender symbol ⚧️ can fit as it represents all genders, and there are many gender-neutral people emojis like these ones🧑🧒🧓 to name a few. The nonbinary flag colors are yellow, white, purple and black, which can be used with hearts, 🤍💜💛🖤, with squares ⬜🟪🟨⬛, ⚪🟣🟡⚫ and circles too even though there is no nonbinary flag emoji.

Also, while there isn't a lesbian flag emoji yet, it can be represented with hearts, the lesbian flag is orange, white, and pink. 🧡🤍💗
