Represents | protein phosphorylation (Q7251493)) |
Data type | Item |
Domain | instances of protein (Q8054) |
Allowed values | instances of protein (Q8054) |
Example 1 | CAMK1 (Q18033081) → CAMP responsive element binding protein 1 (Q21116771) Ref: UniProt |

Example 4 | mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 1 (Q21170755) → mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 7 (Q21109744) Ref Reactome |
Source | Many databases available with different degrees of curation. Examples include data reported in UniProt, phosphonetworks and X2K. |
Planned use | Manually assign major biological relations of kinases and their targets. Sift throught the literature to find reliable sources for future migration to wikidata. |
Motivation
[edit]Protein phosphorylation is central to biological signal transduction. Basic cell biology in undergraduate textbook includes diverse protein phosphorylation cascades. Modelling this property allow us to bring knowledge regarding kinases and their targets to wikidata. This can be done both manually, citing the scientific literature, or in batches using curated databases.
