Two Cowgirls from the 1920's are seen in working Rodeo attire while taking a break and having some fun with a drinking contest. A finished bottle is seen on the ground. While their urban counterparts were restricted to more straight-laced female roles in the late 1800's and early 1900's, women of the American Frontier were roping and riding broncs-- and partaking of adult beverages! This beautiful print is from a mixed-media painting by artist Kuki Hargrave, and is based upon an old photograph of actual Cowgirls in the 1920's. Subtle colors and old-school rendering capture the back-in-time appeal of these dauntless Women of the West! Title: "On Your Mark..." Signed and studio stamped by the artist.
