Silleteros are decidedly the stars of the Medellin Flower Festival during the delightful Desfile de Silleteros, the parade through downtown Medellin which is a highlight of Feria de las Flores. Silleteros today are flower vendors, farmers who carry their colorful wares down from small plots in the majestic mountains around Medellin to sell in squares and markets.
