Then trim away the excess fleece on the garment side close to the stitching. Do not attempt to press this seam. Just turn the seam allowances towards the sleeve. I’ve used this technique on virtually every jacket and coat that I’ve made since learning it. I much prefer it to using a sleeve head, which it replaces.
