Funchal. My husband, our little daughter (3 years old at the time), and I recently spent two incredible weeks exploring the stunning island of Madeira, Portugal. It was our first time visiting, and we knew very little about the island apart from its reputation for breathtaking landscapes and being a paradise for hiking enthusiasts.
