An Eastern Phoebe posing on an Eastern Redbud snag for me in the Appalachian Preserve which is located just outside Shawnee State Forest in extreme southern Ohio.  Probably one of the easier birds to identify by song are these guys.  Where you find a bridge over a creek, you'll most likely find these guys nesting. A drab, medium-sized flycatcher. Brownish above and pale below, often with a light yellowish wash on the belly.
