Blood meridian

Cyril O'Regan, ND Huisking Chair of Theology, contemplates American history through Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian.

Found this ultra rare Disney classic from their "dark period" at a garage sale. In retrospect, Blood Meridian was a bold choice to adapt to a children's animated movie.

A few portraits I drew for fun of characters from the novel Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. I wanted to keep with the old-timey western theme and see how I would go trying to mimic a pen and ink style digitally. I was later commissioned to create a full body illustration of the Kid character; depicted as he is in a later chapter in the book and a few years older.
