Every kitchen witch knows her magic wand is a wooden spoon.

Seasoned potters will look at this gathering of bits and bobs and cringe... but I am rather proud of this lot. Unsightly as it may be ;) I've been playing with clay and trying my hand at pit firing. @lisabourque These are made from wooden spoons and called fairy wands. You will have to get a hole drilled thru. After that looks like a pretty cool DIY. They say looking thru the hole lets you see fairies. We made wishing wands with people in a Myths, Dreams and Symbols class at Sonoma State U as a demonstration of the stages of creativity, and offered all sorts of "sticks" to use but no spoons. Was also thinking of using some of our old paint brushes as a base stick! Hum!
