Man Rescues Emaciated Puppy and Finds a Best Friend for Life
When a tiny puppy was found barely clinging to life, rescuers from Dallas RRR knew they had to act fast. The frail pup, later named Stuart, was in dire need of immediate medical attention.

When Stuart arrived at the medical center, he was so weak that he could barely open his eyes or hold his head up. Weighing just 1.8 pounds, he was classified as a Chihuahua because of his size. However, the rescuers soon discovered that Stuart was actually a severely emaciated Pit Bull puppy.
Stuart’s condition was critical. Blood tests revealed he was dangerously anemic due to a severe flea and tick infestation. Immediate blood transfusions were required to save his life.
The first 48 hours were touch-and-go. Stuart drifted in and out of consciousness, but the dedicated rescuers refused to give up. “We’re gonna do everything we can to save this little boy,” one rescuer vowed, and they kept that promise.
