Ruta del Costero

presented by Felipe Farfal

WELCOME TOURISTS!
• First of all, I’d like to thank all of you for being here today, because I’m
going to talk about this unique journey you can experience with us.
• It consists of a 3 day trip through some spots of the coastal area of
Los Ríos and De La Araucanía regions.
• Specifically, 6 arrival points where you can see beautiful and
incredible views of the ocean, enjoy nature, fauna, gastronomy and
culture of each destination.
• With that being said, I want you to know that we have all security
measures under control, including those for COVID-19 that are now
common for all of us. Therefore, we are committed to ensuring your
well-being so that you can enjoy your tourist experience without any
worries.
• Well, now let me show you the places we are going to visit and tell
you what these places can offer us.
• Mehuín
• This is the starting point. Here we meet to deliver all the information
regarding the tour, clearing all doubts and ensuring your safety during
all these days of adventure.
• Before we begin the trip you have the opportunity to walk along the
beach for a few minutes to accustom to the kind of landscape you’re
going to see the entire trip.
• Mississipi
Our first destination is a shellfish cove that is separated from Mehuín
only by a bridge, about 2 kilometers away. Here we find a small
viewpoint where you can see how the fishermen arrive from their work
at sea. You can also buy or consume fresh sea food on the shore of this
cove.
• Maiquillahue
• The next one is only a few kilometers from Mississippi, going up the
hills of the area. Once in the place, you have an extensive and
wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean that allows you to relax
immediately and take some postcard photographs.
• Also, in front of this viewpoint, you will find a small island full of life to
which groups of penguins and sea lions arrive every year.
• Chan-Chan
• This area has a long beach where very few people go, so it is perfect
to disconnect from everything for a few hours. To get there you must
pass through dunes, and once on the beach you can access a grotto
uphill from which you can see the area more extensively. Here we also
find the archaeological site of El Hombre de Chan-Chan, found in the
90’s.
It’s the discovery of remains of a hunter-gatherer settlement that
dates back more than 5 thousand years, becoming the oldest
archaeological site in the region of Los Ríos.
• Queule
• Now we move on to the region of La Araucanía, specifically to Queule.
In this cove you can enjoy the delicious gastronomy of the area, a
boat trip and a walk up the hill to the hidden lighthouse that is
located in front of La Isla de los Pinos.
• Piren Alto
• This is the perfect place to end this trip. To get there we must drive up
steep hills, enjoying its flora and fauna. Once at the destination, the
attractions are a horseback ride, honey extraction (beekeeping) and a
well-deserved rest with a spectacular view of the ocean under the
light of an imposing sunset.
• Hoping that you had a great time hearing this presentation we would
love to see you doing this experience with us as soon as possible.
• Now If you have any further questions, this is your chance.
