ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
As a part of 2nd year of the three years degree course in
hotel management, I have undergone Industrial Training of
20 weeks, which is a true exposure to the actual functioning
of the industry. This is the exact time to get acquainted with
the facts of the industry and decide the area of professional
interest.

I express my profound gratitude for having selected me for

the Industrial Training Program. I would like to convey my
thanks to the training department for having co-ordinated
my training well.

This presentation is a brief of all the departments I was

undergoing during my training period. This is a collection
and compilation of material of educative value gathered
from the hotel.
HOTEL OVERVIEW
Hyatt Regency Gurgaon is one of the largest 5
star convention hotels in Gurgaon, with meeting
rooms and event venue that can accommodate
up to 3,000 people. It is strategically located in
the rapidly expanding corporate and residential
hub of India off the Delhi-Jaipur National
Highway 8. Located in close proximity to the
corporate business hub of Gurgaon and IMT
Manesar, with easy access from the southern
periphery road and Dwarka express highway,
the hotel is an ideal staycation and weekend
getaway for Delhi NCR residents—and offers a
convenient stopover for tourists covering the
Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
HISTORY OF HOTEL
Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he
purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los
Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade,
Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working
together with other Pritzker family business interests,
grew the company into a North American management
and hotel ownership company, which became a public
company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was
formed and subsequently became a separate public
company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International
Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family
business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On
December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality
assets owned by Pritzker family business interests,
including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International
Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now
Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
