• The first half of the Noli me Tangere was written in
Madrid,Spain from 1884-1885 while he was studying
for medicine.
• While in Germany,he wrote the Second half of the Noli
Me Tangere.
• Jose Rizal Finished the last section of the Novel in Berlin

Inspiration of Rizal for Writing the novel
• Jose Rizal drew his inspiration in writing Noli
from a book entitled “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” which
was authored by Harriet Beacher Stowe. Uncle
Tom’s Cabin is about the life of Negro slaves
under the hands of powerful white Americans.
