ZON E S

of regulation
(Boys)

“Life is 10% what happens to us

and 90% how we react to it.”
Charles Swindoll
MATERIAIS ADAPTADOS FABI
We all face challenging circumstances that test our limits
from time to time.

If we can recognize when we are becoming less regulated, we

are able to do something about it to manage our feelings and
get ourselves to a healthy place.

This is the goal of the ZONES OF REGULATION.

1
The Zones of regulation are used to teach us how to regulate
our feelings, energy and sensory needs in order to meet the
demands of the situation around us and be socially successful.

The zones of regulation use four colors.

These colors help us to identify and manage our emotions.

It is natural to experience all of the Zones; there is no bad

zone. But we can notice we feel better when we are in the
green zone.

Self-regulation strategies:

The moment I identify how I feel, I can think of things that

might make me feel better.
