OPERATIONAL DEFINITION
Self-acceptance is defined as holding a positive regard for or attitude toward oneself as a whole and is
thought to be necessary for good mental health. Self-acceptance involves self-understanding, a realistic,
subjective, awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses. It allows individuals to be more authentic, less
self-critical, and better equipped to cope with life's challenges. Psychologists often work with clients to
promote self-acceptance as a means of improving their mental health and overall quality of life.

Emotional well-being is a critical aspect of overall well-being and is closely interconnected with
physical, social, and psychological well-being. Cultivating emotional well-being often involves self-care
practices, seeking support when needed, and developing emotional intelligence to navigate life's ups and
downs in a healthy and adaptive way.Emotional well-being refers to a person's state of mental and
emotional health, characterized by a balance of positive emotions, effective coping with stress, and a
strong sense of overall contentment and satisfaction in life. It involves emotional resilience, self-
awareness, and the ability to manage one's feelings for a fulfilling and stable life.
