Disasters from

Different
Perspectives
The term “Earthquake" refers to the earth's
surface shaking.

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Mindanao in

the Philippines on Febuary 1, 2023, the European
Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
In terms of the physical perspective,
earthquakes are natural phenomena characterized by
the sudden release of energy from tectonic plates
that can result in ground shaking, landslides,
tsunamis, and other geologic hazards.
From a psychological perspective,
earthquakes can lead to short and long-term
psychological distress including anxiety,
depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder
(PTSD) in both directly and indirectly affected
individuals.
In terms of socio cultural perspective, the earthquake
caused the deaths of hundreds of people, having an impact on
their families. Because of it, many families had their moral
fibers shattered. The obligations will take good care of a
person who has given to. Since an earthquake affects one's
interpersonal connections, particularly with peers and relatives
who have been impacted, there are relatives who have split
apart and there have been changes in how one interacts with
others.
The economic impact of an earthquake includes
damages to vital infrastructure, lost property, and,
most importantly, the loss of life. Due to the damage
to the facilities, this calamity may have an impact on
product shipping, which may have an impact on
economic growth. When a farm is harmed, so is the
farming and their occupation.
From a political perspective, earthquakes
can have significant implications for disaster
management policies and procedures,
international aid and cooperation, and political
stability and legitimacy of governments
affected by the disaster.
From a biological perspective, earthquakes
can impact the health and well-being of
individuals and communities through injuries,
exposure to environmental hazards, and
disruptions in access to essential services such
as healthcare, food, and clean water.
